The morning after
Rue Bourbon makes the news once again

A photo of Whit Brown with the Rue Bourbon float right behind
him leads off the Krewe du Vieux article in the Metro section
of the Times-Picayune.

Usually we are on our way to put everything away by 9 the morning after, but this year, with some of us partying until almost 3, we got a late start. Lewis, Curt and Trey were out there by 10:30, braving what felt like artic blasts to pick up the float and put it away for the year. By noon everything was put up in Marigny and the big decision was whether to take a nap or head to Acme for lunch. Acme wins, so Curt does a Red Bull and before long we were talking about what a good time we'd had over platters of seafood.
